Welcoming and Centrally located on a wonderful island! Welcoming and supportive staff. Clean and quiet rooms right in the heart of st martin marina.
They need better pillows. We were ugraded to a beautiful two suite. It was two stories with a wc downstairs with a sink. Not a towel to be found downstairs. Awkward set up. They gave us vouchers for bikes whixh you can ride all over the island. We rented for two days. They were for 10 percent off. They were 24 euros. At their prices, they could have been included. The mean age of their clientelle probably doesn't rent bikes so I cannot imagine it eating into their bottom line. Also, no wireless in the room...not even one you could pay for. No coffee maker in the room.
Staff were excellent and were polite, professional and helpful.
This is overblown for a 5 star hotel. The rooms are small although nicely furnished, the public rooms especially the restaurant (only 6 tables!) was far too small. The garden minute and the lounge doubles in part as reception - very draughty too at times so no fun to sit in. There are no 'views' really from the public rooms. The food good but not exceptional.Having on the same trip stayed in other hotels not too far away and of so called 'lower' standard I cannot think what the Toiras offers that is 5 star - bar the staff. This hotel is not 5 star, but the prices may be.
It was very central and liked the idea of hiring bicycles to get around to the island. You felt very safe as there are plenty of bike lanes.
The service was good and charming. We enjoyed breakfast in our room. The location of the hotel was excellent.
We feel we should have been told that the restaurant was closed on Sunday and Monday. We ate there on Tuesday and Wednesday. It was very good but somewhat overpriced. The bath in our room was too deep and difficult to get out of.
Very attentive staff. Lovely waterfront location. Nice and small full of old world charm
Nothing to report
The staff were excellent. All made every effort to make your stay personal. Dominic was extremely good despite being under pressure serving at breakfast. The location of the hotel is wonderful.
Given the price (and this was at a special rate) the room we rather small for a 5* hotel although it was extremely comfortable.
An outstanding hotel, the best location we saw on the Island and just excellent in everyway.
The technology was not up to standard but then we probably should be on holiday to relax so it did not matter too much.
Staff were excellent
Pool and spa not in hotel pool small so with kids little awkward
Very welcoming by all staff. A personal well written,in English, welcome card in room.
The position of the hotel - next to the port in St Martin de Ré - made it easy to enjoy this lovely town. The staff were superb, and the bed in our room was the most comfortable I think I have ever slept in. The dinner in the intimate restaurant was freshly prepared by the chef - really superb. We felt as if we had stepped into another world of luxury and comfort.
It is important to clearly specify that you wish to stay in the main hotel, because there is a sister hotel further away that is used to house guests when it is busy - and this is not always made clear on Booked.net
Outstanding staff. Nothing is too much trouble for the charming, helpful staff. The hotel is right at the centre of the busy port but remains calm, peaceful and relaxing.
No major complaints.
The staff was very attentive and helpful. The location was great.
The restaurant was a big disappointment. We expected more from a Relaix/Chateaux hotel. The room , although large, was worn and not kept up .... missing light bulbs, curtains needed rehanging, etc. Again, when paying $600 per night we expected a few more small luxuries than we found.
The staff were incredibly helpful and thoughtful. The room was beautiful.
The fact that guests are allowed at 3 am to talk loudly outside in the tiny courtyard when you are trying to sleep! The swimming pool while in a lovely setting is more than a ''Stones throw away''!!The dinning room is VERY small for a five star gourmet hotel.
